POP-AKTIVISMUS, subversive actions with voice

Elizabeth Wurst is momentarily working on performance series that she defines as "Pop - Aktivismus".
The earliest manifestations have already appeared in shows in Barcelona and Berlin.
The intention is to engage the viewers through emotional pop-songs. These mainstream hits are taken out of their context and used in an activist way in public spaces to address political and social issues. You can see some of the actions here!
"I don't belong here"
Performance, 45 Min.

A found object - a submerged shopping trolley - is taken out of the
river and brought again into the supermarket as a subversive action.

Videoperformance
"Philadelphia Museum of Art - I wanna get there"

Objets trouvés à la Duchamp, ironically find me
on my way to the Art Museum - a bunch of balloons
in the garbage. I take them and continue my journey to
the Philadelphia Museum of Art, in order to see Duchamps works.

concept: enter the videoframe. position myself into the daily scenario. stand up. go away.
repeat this action in the nature and the architecture in Brasil.
